Die Ausstellung „Das Licht ist wie das Wasser“ ist Teil des Projekts „Raining Art“, das 2013 vom Sciacco Studio geschaffen wurde, einem Kunststudio mit Sitz in São Paulo.
Diese dritte Ausgabe des Projekts wird am Freitag, dem 13. Mai, um 19 Uhr in der Galerie Forum Berlin am Meer eröffnet. Zwanzig bildende Künstler beteiligen sich mit Regenschirmen, auf denen ihre Werke abgebildet sind, und den Originalstücken (Gemälde, Skulpturen und Fotografien), die das Design der Objekte inspiriert haben.
Die Ausstellung ist nach dem gleichnamigen Titel einer Geschichte von Gabriel Garcia Marquez benannt, in der zwei Brüder innerhalb eines fantastischen Universums über die Grenzen des Möglichen und Unmöglichen hinausgehen, wo das Licht strömt und sie steuern und treiben.
So wie die beiden Jungen durch das Licht navigieren, so als ob es Wasser wäre, tauchen die Künstler jeden Alters in tiefe Wasser ein und kommen zurück an die Oberfläche, um dort im Licht der in der Kunst verkörperten Träume zu treiben. (Quelle: Pressetext)

The exhibition “Light is Like Water” is part of the project “Raining Art” (“Chovendo Arte”), created in 2013 by Sciacco Studio, an art studio based in São Paulo, Brazil.
This edition (the third) of the project will be presented at the Galerie Forum Berlin am Meer, opening on May 13th, Friday, from 7pm to 10pm. Twenty visual artists participate with umbrellas representing their works along with the original piece (paintings, sculptures, photographs) that inspired the design on the object.
The name of the show was thought after the title of Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s story, in which two brothers go beyond the limits of the possible and the impossible, within a fantastic universe, where the light gushes and where they navigate and float. Just like the two boys navigate through the light, as it was water, the artists, of any age, immerse in deep seas and come back to the surface to float in the light of the dreams, materialized in art.
The umbrellas are limited edition, and like a work of art are handed to the buyers with a certificate, signed and numbered by the artist.

About Sciacco Studio:
Sciacco Studio is an art company located in São Paulo, Brazil. Since 2003 it has organized and curated exhibitions in its country and abroad (Chicago, Lisboa, Londres, Miami, Nashville, Nova York, Paris, Porto, Toronto, Veneza), in Galleries and Art Fairs.
Its goal is to develop the career of emerging artists by showing their work to a wide audience and also by publishing art books and catalogs, displaying their art online on websites and social media and doing unusual projects to get the public’s attention.

About the “Raining Art” project:
With the “Raining Art” project we looked for connections. On the first two editions we focused on the connection between the image and the written word, and to play with that we had the umbrella as the image and the rain as words. In a world where the image seemed so strong as if nothing else existed the written word fights back, in different ways, breaking distances through the internet, with e-mails, blogs, twitter. The power of the image, of art and of the written language going around in umbrellas.
For this edition, searching for a new connections, we came across the story “Light is Like Water”, by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, part of the book “Strange Pilgrims”, and found inspiration for a new link.
A exposição “A Luz é como a Água” faz parte do projeto “Chovendo Arte”, criado em 2013 pelo Sciacco Studio, Escritório de Arte localizado em São Paulo, Brasil.
Esta edição (a terceira) será apresentada na Galerie Forum Berlin am Meer, com abertura dia 13 de Maio, sexta-feira, às 19h. Vinte artistas plásticos participam com guarda-chuvas representando seus trabalhos, juntamente com as obras originais (pinturas, fotografias, esculturas) que inspiraram o design no objeto.
O título da mostra foi pensado à partir do conto de Gabriel Garcia Marquez,em que dois irmãos ultrapassam os limites do possível e do impossível, dentro de um universo fantástico, onde a luz jorra e por onde eles navegam e flutuam.
Assim como os dois meninos navegam pela luz como se fosse água, os artistas, de qualquer idade, mergulham em mares profundos e voltam à superfície para flutuar na luz dos sonhos alcançados e materializados em arte.
Os guarda-chuvas tem tiragem limitada e como uma gravura, são entregues com certificados assinados e numerados pelo artista.

Sobre o projeto “Chovendo Arte:
Com o projeto Chovendo Arte buscamos conexões. Na primeira e segunda edição do projeto fizemos uma conexão entre a imagem e a palavra e para brincar com esta ideia, escolhemos o guarda-chuva para representar a imagem e as palavras para representar a chuva. Em um mundo onde parecia que só a imagem tinha força a palavra ressurge, de forma diferente, quebrando distâncias através da internet, e-mails, blogs, twitter. A força da imagem, da arte e da palavra circulando em guarda-chuvas.
Para esta edição, buscando uma nova conexão, nos deparamos com o conto “A Luz é como a Água” de Gabriel Garcia Marquez, que faz parte do livro “Doze Contos Peregrinos”, e encontramos inspiração para um novo elo.
